Wax, sealant and gloss
Carnauba wax gives a warm depth that looks superb on dark paint but has a short life in Southern California heat. A synthetic sealant lasts considerably longer and is the better choice for a car that lives outdoors.
If your paint feels rough after washing, it's contaminated — a clay treatment before waxing makes a dramatic difference in both feel and gloss. For protection measured in years instead of months, ceramic coating is the step up.
